ABOUT
Jason Matthews is a longtime resident of Monroe County. He is married to his wife Greta and has five wonderful children. Jason is motivated by his desire for Monroe County to be a great place to live, work, raise a family, and retire!
He is a 23-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 8, with his last eleven years running work at Fermi II Nuclear Power Plant.
Jason is committed to public service. He is the elected president of the Monroe/Lenawee County AFL-CIO Central Labor Council. Additionally, he has served as the past Chair Monroe/Lenawee County AFL-CIO Central Labor Council Labor Day Parade and Barbecue Festival.
He is driven by his desire to improve the community and has a strong track record in volunteering.
He is the founder and organizer of Cultivate Community, also known as the "Clean it, Paint it, Plant it Program."

He was awarded the United Way Everyday Hero Award, the Monroe Township Community Leadership Award, and the Walt Campbell Award.
